After what seems like ages I remembered I had one of these majiggers.... I had to reset my password cuz I had so muthafuckin clue what my password was.
Upon further viewing it seems like most people don't stop by here anymore... lord knows I didn't. Maybe it came off as a high school thing but I felt like posting something here, it'll prolly end up in myspace too jaja.
Well things have been okay for me. Work is pretty good and I've been going to the gym still (I kept it up!!) and drinkin and smokin (tsk tsk lino!) every once in a while. I started talkin to somebody who was insanely awesome but their history (and boy is there lots of it) makes them very wary of getting into anything. Which sucks for me but also makes me wanna help them. What does that make me? I suppose most people in my situation would run away once the stuff I heard fell upon their ears but it made me wanna stay all the more. I think I'm just hopelessly smitten but we'll see how that goes. It's all about trust and honesty right folks?
Aside from that I'm aimless as to what to do with that whole pesky situation that is school. I really don't wanna go back and I'm gonna hear it from everyone and their momma about how much a stupid fuckin idiot I will be if I don't finish college but right now I just have no idea what I wanna do. I was thinking maybe trade school or sumthin but I just don't know. I DON'T FUCKIN KNOW!!!
My bro the college grad will make a point of it to remind what a big mistake I'm making and he will insinuate his superiority over me while insisting he does no such thing because he is just that pig-headed, but hey that's my bro. But hey, life isn't about finding yourself... its about creating yourself. I'm slowly doing that and eventually I'll know what I've created and I'm sure I'll be happy.
One thing that I'm quite upset about is the fact that I haven't written anything in months. I have made a vow to pick it up again and finish my two projects. I'm like a chapter away from finishing my novel and I'm halfway thru my first person contemporary fun piece and I'll update you folks on those when a notable goal is achieved.
Okay... well I think that's hella more than I initially expected to write but fuck it... I owed you mofo's.

So I went to see a psychic and she told me some startling stuff. The reason I took her seriously was because she told me things that were dead on... like on the nose and shit you know?
Among some of the things she told me were that I'm a good person with a good heart and that it's full of love... unfortunately I have no one that returns that love. Made me feel pretty shitty but in all honesty it didn't surprise me. She did tell me that I'm surrounded by good friends and that I have four friends in particular (2 boys, 2 girls) that are constantly there for me and who I'm there for. My 'goodness' compels me to help them but once I help them I absorb their bad energy. I'm a friggin sponge!! and not the cool kind like Bob Squarepants.
I honestly wondered who those people where and I think I have a good idea. She also told me that I have a lot of bad energy surrounding me (part of the crap I absorb) which is holding me back from doing many things that I've yearned to do. Also that I'm on the brink of coming into a lot of money (I just got a promotion at my work and I have the potential to make assloads of money). Well I don't know I'll prolly go back in a few months and see what she says.
She told me some other things but they're kinda loser-y and I'd feel weird posting them so I'll prolly just mention them to folks personally or whatever.

... as far as I can tell it's going well. I feel great about myself. I have a newfound confidence that really feels good to have. It's slow of course at first but I'm patient and realistic. Man... its been since last year that I updated this mofo and suffice it to say that shit has been going on!! Well first off New years was a blast!! I got super wasted and fell on the sarasaurus but it was all a good time! haha... ah man anyway I've just been working A LOT! I got a permanent position with Verizon Wireless though! So big WHOOP WOOT for me! I'm gonna be doing sales at the store on State and Roosevelt and I'll be making hourly plus commission! So I'll be able to get completely out of debt and things will rock ass. I'm excited for this new opportunity but the only thing that sucks is that I have to go to training out in Schaumburg for three weeks and that completely throws off my plans for school! :( So now I don't know exactly when I'll be getting to columbia! But it'll all work out, I know it.
As far as the writing goes, I'm on the last chapter of my story!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!! I'm really excited and to all of you that have been waiting for it, I will have it done soon! I've also been thinking of new ideas for stories and so far I got two. Both involving the city of chicago and being a lot lighter and set in the present time as well! heheh So I'm excited about actually being able to write some more!! Practice makes perfect right? heheh Life is good. Things seem to have really been going my way lately. I just hope all the good vibes I got spread out to my friends and loved ones.

So since I'm working as a temp at the verizon store (soon to be become... non-temp-ish) and Verizon doesn't ACTUALLY pay me my boss let's me put whatever hours on my timesheet that I submit to the temp agency. So since I learned from my co-workers who were also temps way back when that they bullshited their timesheets, I decided to do it also.
So on top of the 42 hours that I actually worked... I added an extra 18. So yeah, debt free here I eventually come!!! ^_^
P.S. I just ate some Benny's Pizza... hadn't had any in forever and it tasted particularly delicious. You really can't beat Benny's Pizza for pizza. yummers |

I ate too much pizza.... I think I'm gonna explode and die! :(
Also school is over for me!!! I get six weeks off to work my butt off, get drunk, and spend time with Philly! Today and yesterday I had off and I've done absolutely NOTHING! It's been awesome haha. I also plan on finishing my novella (it will prolly top out around 200 pages), starting a new short story, and finish reading "Alburquerque" by Rudolfo Anaya.
I love reading stories because they give me inspiration. I've always wanted to write a story that is soaking in magical realism but it's tough. I think I need to read more of that particular genre to get a better grasp of it. Anyone got any suggestions??
Anyway... I'm prolly gonna go get loaded at NIU tonite with my buddy Johnny and the guys out there but this snowstorm we're in is not helping the situation. I think we'll still go cuz we're hard up for a good party (its been a few weeks) and cuz we're drunks. Well that's about it.

So after that last somewhat cathartic post that most people (I hope) checked out... I've been thinking a lot of what I'm gonna do. As most of you know I've always been into writing. SOme of you are actually fans of mine as well and have read my, mostly crappy, stories and attempts at writing. So after thinking it over a bit and asking some rather qualified and knowledgable folks for some opinions on the subject... I decided that I'm gonna go for it. I mean writing is the only thing that I feel even remotely passionate about. It's something I've always enjoyed doing, I guess the whole aspect of being able to create something out of nothing always appealed to me. So in regards to smart people talkin and informin I decided I'm going to go to Columbia College because my english teacher (who also went to the school AND was a product of their writing program)told me they have a "wonderful" writing program and that their journalism department is very good too and the location and instructors of the school will be useful since you can make some connections. So I told my brother about it and he brought up the idea of after going to school getting into teaching and I wasn't too enthused about it but my bro was and we got into a fight about it but it blew over quickly cuz he ended up helping figure out what classes to take to finish up my curriculum requirements for Morton. If I bust my ass and take a full course load I'll be ready for Columbia by Fall 06, it not then Spring 07.. but I'm excited about this. I'm excited about finally having some sense of what I want to do. I just hope I can keep up and this whole money situation is still hanging over my head constantly giving me more grey hairs and its just not good. So if anyone has any extra money lying around I'd be very willing to accept it! No worries about being a charity case here! I'm a broke ass!
So after a very rought stint of writer's bloc I'm nearing completion of my novella (a short novel jackasses, not a melodramatic television production with Chantal y Sergio Goyri)... I've been able to write at least a paragraph a day. The good thing is I still have the vision and know how everything will play out towards the end of "Spiral" (my novella's title, in case y'all forgot) and I'm getting close. I'm excited about that too. OH!!! FUCK OLD NAVY!!!!! I gots a new job!!! :) I'm gonna be working Customer SErvice for Verizon Wireless and I should start towards the end of the week and hopefully that will go well, wish me luck on everything folks!
I finally have a sense of purpose.... I'm excited ^_^ |

So today I found out that my mom has been diagnosed as an anemic. I'm not sure how to react to this. I'm worried of course but then at the same time she's not. I began looking up anemia and they say its quite treatable even though it is a serious illness that can lead to more grave conditions. That's what really unsettled me. My mom has always been suffering from stomach problems and now they finally figured out this was it. She's gone on a nearly meat free diet because red meat does her no good and the docs recommended she begin taking daily iron supplements to help curb the anemia and help her get healthy again. When she told me I told I wasn't too familiar with that but she just added in a very fleeting manner... 'it can cause cancer'. That freaked me out. But my mom isn't freaked. I feel like I'm worrying enough for the both of us but if my mom isn't worried and is confident about getting past this then I suppose I should buck up right?
This really sux... I'm kinda scared. |
